Two schools have recently benefited from new LED lighting systems supplied and installed by Guildford Sound & Light. The benefits of these system proved hard to believe and our engineers where happy to attend the sites to give a full demonstration.
Bishopsford School in Morden wanted their ageing lighting rig refurbished and updated with DMX control. The rig had been poorly maintained over the years due to its inaccessibility and had been left with many lamps blown. Two other companies had been approached to carry out the work but our Special Projects Team had the most cost effective solution; replace the lot! The benefits where not just financial, after demonstrating that the Tryka LED fixtures were up to the job we calculated that they would not have to change a lamp for over 100 years. The modern fixtures also allowed more versatility with full RGB colour mixing providing greater creative control for the operators. And with the environment being of concern to many people these days the fact that the new lighting system would use less than a fifth of the power of the old system proved to be another clincher. In all respects this proved to be the best solution for the customer.
The staff from St. Christopher’s School in Epsom visited our showroom to view our new lighting demonstration facilities. After a short meeting with our Technical Director the staff where fully aware of the performance, financial and energy saving advantages of the LED system that was recommended. An order followed and we hope that both schools enjoy the benefits of their new systems for many years to come.
