The Spectrum Bowl had become increasingly popular for parties and as such there was a requirement for some effects lighting to add a little excitement to the lanes. With 32 lanes to cover and a low ceiling most lighting effects would not be able fill such a large area without using huge numbers of fixtures.

After inspecting the venue it was decided that the new Martin Wizard effect would be perfect for the job. In total 8 Wizards were used, hung upside down and recessed into the false ceiling which meant that they were hidden from the bowlers. The lighting had to be simple to operate and so our engineers modified one of the lights to run in time with the existing sound system and wired the rest as slaves so that they did not need to be programmed or controlled.

Using the onboard settings they were configured to work with alternate colours, roll and tilt functions creating a dramatic and varied, synchronised light-show without the need for an operator.
