Guildford Sound and Light have recently fitted The Buzz in Wokingham with a new sound system in their front bar. The brief was to fit a sound system that was functional and most importantly reliable without costing the earth. After having trouble with the DJ's damaging the speakers through miss use it was time to call us in. We opted for the very cost effective Citronic CX range of speakers with the extremely reliable Gemini GX amplifiers providing the power. There was even budget left for a digital speaker processor, expertly set up by our experienced engineer, there is no danger of the system being over driven.

A little while later there was a similar problem in the main club. All the bass cabinets had been damaged, again due to miss use. We were again called in to spec a solution. This time the budget and the space was tight. This time we opted for four of the Dare 18DR subwoofers. They house a single 18" 600 watt driver and are only 36cm deep. Ideal for those tight spaces. An Ecler DP400 loudspeaker processor was used to to set crossover points, parametric EQ and limiting. The speaker system is no longer a worry at this venue.
