Hath installed a system of wonders in a martyr's named pub.

When Mr Abdul first called us to explain his requirements, we knew that we would need to specify a highly professional system with careful consideration to the size, power, and positioning of the speakers. We knew this was key to providing high quality sound, even coverage, and enough volume, without creating noise problems with the residents living above the venue.

We chose Martin Audio for the sound and integrated their powerful sound processing unit, "The Engineer", to automatically control the system, and a remote volume control so that staff members can manually adjust the level when necessary. A great deal of thought went into the power and positioning of the speakers to ensure that the energy directed at important areas, such as the dancefloor, was as focused as possible; and that the sound in the rest of the venue had the widest attainable coverage with even levels throughout. This was to achieve the maximum impact and venue-wide intelligibility, whilst creating the minumum amount of noise radiation.

The DJ equipment specified was the industry standard Pioneer CDJ-2000 multi-format turntables, and DJM-800 mixer. This is one of the highest quality and creatively flexible systems available, and is the most conforming to professional DJ's riders.

Finally, the lighting system chosen comprised of multiple scanners and a single, multi-beamed effect. All of the lights were LED based units from American DJ, which is one of the most popular brands in this field. For smoke we specified a Martin Professional Magnum 2500Hz hazer, which is another tried and tested industry standard. The highly efficient and low power LED technology in the lighting will look after the environment and lower the venue's electricity bills, whilst the hazing technology in the Magnum 2500Hz will help to ensure that the fire alarms don't get set off unnesessarily.

Upon completion of the project we were extremely satisfied with the performance of all of the elements involved. They integrate, compliment each other, and combine to create an impressive system that is clearly greater than the sum of its parts. Guildford Sound & Light are happy to have provided Mr Abdul with the solution to his requirements.
