Shooting for a suitable solution

The National Rifle Association were struggling to find a new PA; until they called us.

The brief from the National Rifle Association was very clear. The staff new exactly what they wanted and had been looking at various companies to supply and fit a number of PA systems to suit their needs. After short site visits to the various areas around the camp we knew exactly what was required. It was not what they were expecting. They had previously been given over complicated, over priced vague quotes and this made our solution top of the list so we got the go ahead.

They are now the proud owners of 3 outdoor PA systems. One permanent and two portable. The permanent PA consists of 18 RCF horn speakers with amplifiers and a Sennheiser wireless microphone system. The two portable horn systems are a little different. These are used in competition shooting to communicate to the competitors. This area is up to 450 meters wide and it is essential that every shooter can hear clear instructions. After every round the competitors move further away so the PA needs to follow. For this demanding task we used 6 of RCF's largest PA horns, pole mounted high on a trailer that houses the amplifier and Sennheiser wireless system. Mobile power for these is provided by a custom portable 230v rechargable power supply. A small tractor hooks up to the trailer to move it when required.
